1:1 Foam Sculpture of a Classic Fiat 500 – Handcrafted for a Luxury Event

A 1:1 scale replica of a classic Fiat 500, made entirely from high-density EPS foam and hand-sculpted, working directly from an original car for maximum realism.This iconic project was created for an event in Rome commissioned by Bulgari to mark its centenary, with a concept inspired by Italian Dolce Vita and the timeless elegance of the 1950s.

Reinterpreted as a scenic set, the car was transformed into an elegant lounge area with built-in armchairs and a central coffee table, keeping the original proportions while giving it a new, experiential purpose. The white finish with gold details speaks the language of luxury, celebrating one of the most recognisable icons of Italian design.

The photos show every stage of the build: from studying the proportions to hand sculpting, through to the decorative finishes and final installation. A concrete example of how foam, worked with artisan skill, can become high-end art, design and scenography for events, brand activations and special installations.
