Life-Size Design Buffalo for Biancamore | Scenic Installation at Capodichino Airport

Life-Size Design Buffalo for Biancamore

The project

When retail becomes a memorable experience, every detail tells the story of a brand identity. That is the philosophy behind the project we created for Biancamore, the Campanian brand born in Paestum — the heart of Italy’s buffalo-farming tradition — which has transformed natural cosmetics by turning buffalo milk into a high-end skincare line, sold in Italy and in Eataly stores in New York.

For the launch of their pop-up store at Naples Capodichino International Airport, Biancamore needed a scenic centrepiece that would stop travellers in their tracks, instantly communicate the essence of the brand and generate spontaneous social media content.

The design challenge: visual impact and certified safety

We designed and built a life-size replica of a design buffalo: entirely white, with the Biancamore logo and company tagline applied to its sides, the installation visually evokes both the animal that symbolises Campania and the brand’s clean, contemporary aesthetic. The piece was conceived as a genuine experiential landmark, making the pop-up store instantly recognisable within the airport.

Its location in an airport imposed strict technical requirements. To meet the stringent fire safety standards that apply to public airport spaces, the entire sculpture was given a fibreglass hardening treatment, using resins and construction processes certified to the highest level of fire resistance. A complex technical process, managed in-house by our team, which ensured full regulatory compliance without compromising the look of the piece.

Results: visibility, engagement and virality

The installation fully achieved its experiential marketing goals:

  • Instant appeal to passers-by in the airport’s retail area
  • Spontaneous sharing: travellers took photos with the buffalo and posted them on their social media profiles, organically amplifying the brand’s visibility
  • Stronger regional identity for Biancamore, visually linking the product to its Campanian roots and the tradition of PDO buffalo mozzarella

A project that shows how a bespoke scenic installation — conceived at the crossroads of art, design and brand communication — can drive an effective, measurable experiential marketing strategy.
