Giant Scenic Panettone in EPS Foam

This giant scenic panettone is a hyper-realistic EPS foam mockup designed to showcase pastry shops, artisan panettone makers, shop windows and promotional events, especially during the Christmas season..

The piece is made from high-density EPS foam, worked using a combination of CNC technology and hand modelling, and finished with two different professional treatments for maximum visual and tactile realism.

• Brown lower base treated with fibreglass, to ensure:

  • high strength

  • structural stability

  • a compact, durable finish

• Upper dome finished with cementitious resin, chosen to:

  • increase tactile and visual realism

  • create natural roughness

  • simulate artisan cracks and imperfections, made entirely by hand

The sugar nibs and almonds are also made from treated EPS foam, applied one by one to emphasise three-dimensionality, depth and faithfulness to the real product.
