The project
For the winter event by Kellogg’s, organised by the agency Spia Games (based in San Lazzaro di Savena, Bologna), we handled the iconic transformation of a snow groomer into what was dubbed the “Gallo delle Nevi” (Snow Rooster). The project, set against the stunning backdrop of the Sassolungo in the Dolomites, called for a perfect blend of artistic 3D modelling and mechanical engineering.
Marketing Results
The operation fully achieved its viral marketing goal. The majesty of the “Snow Rooster” against the panorama of the Dolomites generated a steady stream of social content, giving the Kellogg’s brand massive organic visibility and a memorable presence throughout the event.
The Technical Challenge: Stability and Modularity
To spread the load and adapt to the curvature of the roof.
Designed specifically for the vehicle’s roll bar.
The frame was designed to be fully dismountable, so it could be transported in a minimal-footprint crate made in-house.
The main requirement was to mount a monumental rooster comb (180 cm x 120 cm) on the roof of a snowcat, with only one anchoring point available: the cab’s roll bar.
We designed and built a custom-made steel support frame, featuring:
Making the 3D Mockup
High-density EPS foam machined on CNC equipment.
Hardening surface treatment (impact- and weather-resistant) with a gloss finish to reflect sunlight and maximise visual impact.
180 cm long x 120 cm high, with a thickness of 30 cm for 360° visibility.
The comb, the centrepiece of the branding, was produced to high quality standards to withstand high-altitude weather conditions:
