Not a supplier.
A single production site.
Eight specialist departments under one roof: design, CNC cutting, resins, spray finishing, joinery, metalwork, print and logistics. From the idea to the installed piece, in Italy and worldwide.
Our story
A company with many sides and deep roots.
ilPolistirolo.it grew out of the Vestuto Group’s experience in visual communication and large‑format print. Years of work in the field, and the diversification of the group’s brands, led us to build a complete production site of our own.
Today we offer integrated planning, design, fabrication and logistics on every job. Our workshop — generous in space and staffed by qualified people — brings together scenic builders, joiners, decorators and certified sculptors for the most specialist work.
We were early adopters of advanced technology — numerically controlled machines in several formats and 3D milling — always in line with current regulations. A dependable partner combining creative thinking, technical competence and logistical reliability.
How we work
One contact, from the idea to the fixing.
You share what you need; the rest is ours. Every stage is handled in‑house.
Design
A team of engineers, architects and creatives: feasibility studies and turnkey projects with full technical documentation.
In‑house fabrication
EPS, joinery, metal fabrication, electrics and robotics: 100% without outside subcontractors.
Logistics & freight
Modular builds optimised for volume and footprint, transportable across Italy and Europe.
Installation
IPAF PAL Card holders with certified equipment: working at height and on aerial platforms.
The plant
Every department under one name.
Our strength is integration: a single production site with specialist departments, for bespoke solutions delivered precisely and quickly.
Design office
Engineers, architects and creatives: from concept to construction drawings.
CNC cutting line (EPS)
High‑precision numerically controlled machines, 3D shaping at any scale.
Mortars and resins
Hardening with chemical, resin and cement‑based mortars: strength and durability.
Spray finishing
Latest‑generation spray booths plus precision hand finishing.
Joinery
Scenic and structural elements in timber and composite materials.
Metal fabrication
Bespoke support structures and frames, on site where needed.
Digital print
Large‑format plotters and finishing: high‑definition graphics.
Warehousing
Covered storage indoors and out: safe, fast dispatch.
Paint shop
Colour isn’t ordered. It’s formulated.
We run an in-house tinting system: a rare set-up for a scenic fabrication company, where colour is usually ordered and waited for. Here it is mixed in the paint shop within hours, on the Sayerlack professional coating system.
- Any RAL, Pantone or physical sample, matched in our own paint shop.
- The formula stays on file: a piece added months later comes out identical to the first.
- Four families of coatings, so the cycle is chosen for the substrate, not for what is in stock.

The in-house tinting machine: bases and colourants to formulate any shade.
Water-based
Low emission: interiors, food retail, sites that stay open for business.
Polyurethane
Resistant to impact, abrasion and weather: outdoors and pieces that get moved.
Polyester
High build and filling power: the base for mirror-gloss finishes.
Solvent-based
Fast drying and good coverage on difficult substrates.
Why all four matter. On bare polystyrene only water-based paints are safe: everything else — polyurethane, polyester, solvent — would attack the material. It is the resin coating that makes the substrate compatible with any cycle. Having the tinting system in-house means the cycle can be chosen for the piece and for where it will end up — indoors or outdoors, within reach of the public or not — instead of fitting the project to whatever the supplier happens to have in stock.
The system we use
Sayerlack professional coatings
Primers, topcoats and protective finishes from one consistent, certified range: the base our tinting system formulates every colour on, with the same result from the first piece to the last.
People and skills
A multidisciplinary, certified team.
Different skills working together on every job, from the most technical projects to the most demanding scenic builds.
Logistics & freight
Your work, wherever it needs to be.
We design pieces built to travel: modular, demountable, optimised for volume. We deliver them with our own vehicles or through express couriers, across Italy, Europe and the rest of the world.
In Italy and worldwide
International projects, without the headache.
We handle fabrication, logistics, customs clearance, permits and certification for work abroad. Clients from several countries use us as their base of operations in Italy — and when it is needed, we deliver and install in their own country.
A privileged partnership in Switzerland
An exclusive working relationship with our Swiss partner lets us follow projects on Swiss territory continuously, quickly and with a genuine local presence.
